Ruiter specimen database

David E. Ruiter (2/2/1948 – 2/4/2021) dedicated many decades to the study of Trichoptera, focusing especially on the fauna found in Western North America. His commitment to research and scientific discovery is reflected in the breadth of his work over the years.  Throughout his career, Dave maintained detailed records associated with more than 50,000 specimen identifications. These records were compiled in support of numerous research projects.  Recognizing the significance of this extensive data set, we want to ensure that it is made available to other researchers. Making these records accessible will support further study and facilitate ongoing research within the scientific community. Cary D. Kerst, William J. Gerth, Terry L. Ruiter and Robert W. Wisseman
